Collaborate for Healthy Weight initiative aims to reverse the obesity epidemic
March 27, 2012Michael Rosenthal, M.D., chair of the Department of Family & Community Medicine at Christiana Care Health System, helped unveil the "Collaborate for Healthy Weight” initiative Friday at Westside Family Healthcare in Dover. The initiative, which was funded through the Affordable Care Act, is a national effort to reverse the obesity epidemic through innovative local partnerships between primary care doctors and nurses, public health professionals, and leaders of community-based organizations.
