The patient, who was grieving the recent loss of her husband, said she was having a difficult hospital stay. Ogunwande was with her for three nights, helping her stay calm and comfortable as she awaited a diagnosis.
“The sights and sounds of the hospital seemed to heighten my sadness and my grief, especially when I was unable to sleep,” the nominator wrote. “Moji has a quiet, mature, no-nonsense approach to patient care. She attended to my needs with patience and compassion.”
The patient noted Ogunwande, always answered the call button promptly and with kindness, no matter how busy she was.
“She deserves the attention that her extraordinary care exemplified,” the nominator wrote.
