“We are grateful to the Union Hospital Auxiliary for this forward-thinking gift, which they made with love,” said Dia Williams Adams, vice president of Philanthropy at ChristianaCare. “Through their generosity, they are helping the families of Cecil County grow and be healthy.”

The Union Hospital Auxiliary is an active organization dedicated to supporting Union Hospital. The Auxilians operate the Gift Shop, the Good As New Shop thrift store and hospital vending machines and serve as volunteers supporting patients, families and staff.

“Union Hospital’s Auxilians find ways every day to brighten the health care experience for patients, families and our own caregivers,” said Margarita Rodriguez-Duffy, director of Visitor and Volunteer Services at ChristianaCare. “Their heartfelt donation will make a difference in the lives of our youngest patients and their parents.”

The Auxiliary’s $100,000 gift to the Maternal Infant Center will create an improved labor and delivery experience for families in Cecil County. Their donation of $10,000 to the Breast Health Center will renovate the consult room, and the donation of $10,000 to the Behavioral Health Center will support a new quiet room.

“Our Auxiliary members are in tune with the needs of our patients and our community,” said Elaine Boyle, manager of Volunteer Services for Union Hospital. “I’m honored to work with them each day and thank them for helping our Cecil County neighbors flourish.”
