ChristianaCare’s campaign to vaccinate all of its 12,000 employees in a single day launched before the sun came up, with caregivers from all shifts, volunteers and retirees turning out in a steady stream at the health care system’s two main hospitals and at 100 other locations in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Starting at 3 a.m., vaccination stations started buzzing with activity. At 5 p.m., 7,323  caregivers — approaching two-thirds of the workforce — had been inoculated, with the campaign set to continue until 9 p.m. Local mascots and radio station WJBR-FM pumped up the crowds, and local media coverage featured ChristianaCare caregivers. The campaign included drive-thru flu shots for the first time.

This second campaign aimed to repeat and even surpass the historic success of the original #HitMeWithYourFluShot campaign in October 2018.

Here’s a gallery from the campaign as it unfolded.
