Jane James appointed nurse manager, Wilmington Hospital 5N
Jane James, MSN, RN-BC, has been appointed nurse manager of 5N at Wilmington Hospital.
James assumes 24-hour accountability and responsibility for the medical unit’s excellence in the clinical practice of nursing and the delivery of patient care.
She joined Christiana Care in 2003 and has held previous nursing positions with progressively higher levels of responsibility, including most recently as an assistant nurse manager of the 4N/5W medical unit since 2016.
She is a member of the Acute Medicine Service Line Pain Team and Falls Team. She has been a Joint Commission liaison and active participant in the Nihon Kohden Cardiac Monitor Project and Blood Pressure Ambassador program and a super user for various improvements made throughout Christiana Care.
James received her master’s degree in Nursing Education and Nursing Leadership from Wilmington University and her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Immaculata University. She currently is enrolled at Walden University seeking a Ph.D. in Nursing Education.
She reports to Michael Knorr, MSN, RN, PCCN, vice president, Patient Care Services, Acute Medicine.
