ChristianaCare Physician and Branch Campus Graduate Honored by Sidney Kimmel Medical College

Brian Levine, M.D., chief academic officer at ChristianaCare, has received the 2026 Blockley-Osler Award for excellence in clinical teaching from the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, where he is a clinical professor of Emergency Medicine.

Kameron Inguito, M.D., one of Levine’s branch campus students who completed rotations at ChristianaCare, garnered prizes in emergency medicine and student service.

“Teaching is one of the greatest privileges in medicine,” said Levine. “Every student brings fresh perspectives, curiosity and energy that challenge us to be better physicians and educators. It’s an honor to have a role in their journey as they discover the kind of physicians they want to become.”

The Blockley-Osler award recognizes exemplary bedside teaching in the tradition of physician William Osler, considered the “father of modern medicine” and an architect of medical education in the U.S. It honors educators who inspire the next generation of physicians through clinical excellence, mentorship and a deep commitment to patient-centered care.

ChristianaCare is designated as a branch campus clinical training site of the Sidney Kimmel Medical College and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, offering students the opportunity to complete their third- and fourth-year clinical rotations exclusively at ChristianaCare through the Delaware Branch Campus Program.

In his dual roles as chief academic officer and designated institutional official, Levine oversees ChristianaCare’s 38 sought-after residency and fellowship programs with 335 residents and fellows, as well as the education and training of students across the medical education continuum.

In addition, Levine oversees physician assistant and allied health education programs, supporting workforce development and long-term community health needs.

A nationally respected emergency physician, Levine has led the writing and development of pocket-sized reference guides used by thousands of emergency medicine residents worldwide each year. Published by the Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association, the guides cover antibiotic use, orthopedic injury treatment and EKGs, among other key topics in the field.

Branch Campus student Kameron Inguito, M.D., earned two prestigious honors from Sidney Kimmel Medical College: The William C. Davis, M.D., Prize in Emergency Medicine and The Dean’s Student Service Prize. Inguito is now a first-year resident in emergency medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

The William C. Davis, M.D., Prize recognizes exceptional achievement and promise in emergency medicine, while the Dean’s Student Service Prize honors students whose service has made a meaningful impact on their classmates, patients and communities.

“Throughout medical school, Kam distinguished himself through academic excellence, clinical skill and a clear commitment to serving others,” Levine said. “These are all hallmarks of a future physician-leader. We are very proud of Kam.”
