Pediatrics Dept. recognizes clinicians for excellent clinical care and teaching
The Christiana Care Department of Pediatrics presented three awards to caregivers in June to honor a legacy of excellent clinical care and teaching.
Deborah Tuttle, M.D., received the John Stefano Award for Excellence in Teaching and Clinical Care by a Neonatologist.
Ember Crevar, M.D., received the Louis Bartoshesky Award for Excellence in Clinical Care and Teaching by a Pediatric Hospitalist.
Pik-Kwan Chow, NNP, received the Susan Imam Award for Excellence in Teaching and Clinical Care by a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
“The award recipients all demonstrate outstanding commitment to clinical care and teaching,” said David A. Paul, M.D., chair of Pediatrics and physician leader of Women & Children’s Health. “They have a history of excellence in their service to Christiana Care and the neighbors that we serve,”
The awards are named after Louis Bartoshesky, M.D., MPH, pediatric clinical geneticist, who retired as chair of Christiana Care Pediatrics in 2013; attending neonatologist John Stefano, M.D., attending neonatologist a former director and past director of Division of Neonatology at Christiana Care, and neonatology nurse practitioner program pioneer Susan Imam, NNP II.
