Christiana Care innovation shines at Delaware BioScience Association’s 2018 Gala

Christiana Care’s Gene Editing Institute and Health & Technology Innovation Center were highlighted Thursday, April 19, at the Delaware BioScience Association’s 2018 Gala, “Igniting Innovation.”

The gala event spotlighted the Gene Editing Institute’s partnership with Jerusulem-based NovellusDx to advance cancer diagnostics and screening tools. Using the Gene Editing Institute’s licensed, advanced gene editing technology, NovellusDx will be able to identify genetic mechanisms responsible for both onset and progression of many types of cancer and determine the most effective cancer therapies.

The event also recognized Christiana Care’s Health and Technology Innovation Center for its groundbreaking work in developing mobile and desktop applications that support clinicians during patient care.
