Snapshot: Pianist fills Christiana Hospital lobby with soothing melodies
Antonio Valle Jr., a nurse assistant in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), says it feels natural to play the grand piano for people in the main lobby at Christiana Hospital. “I’ve had so many people say such nice things and even leave notes thanking me for giving them a time of peace in such a hard time in their lives,” he said. “I’m so happy that I could give back a little by doing something that I hadn’t put too much thought into.” Antonio has been playing piano since he was 4 years old. You can often catch him performing on Tuesdays and Fridays from 12:30 to 1 p.m.
