Our Top Nurses Shine in Delaware Today

Delaware Today magazine’s 2025 list of Top Nurses included nearly 130 nurses from ChristianaCare, highlighted as among the best in their areas of nursing practice. Top Nurses are nominated by their peers through a survey by the Delaware Nurses Association.

Donna DeFilippis, BSN, RN, ACM-RN, was named top Case Manager in the category Case and/or Utilization Management.

“I’m thrilled that Delaware Today has recognized so many of our ChristianaCare nurses,” said Danielle Weber, DNP, MSM, RN-BC, NEA-BC, chief nurse executive of ChristianaCare.

Kate Shady, Ph.D., RN, OCN, of Inpatient Hematology/Oncology, received top honors in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. She also was recognized for excellence in inpatient/acute care nursing.

“This well-deserved recognition shines a bright light on the love and excellence of our extraordinary nurses,” Weber said. “It celebrates what we already know – that our nurses bring their best to our patients, families, colleagues and community.”
