Logan West Recognized With ROSE Award

Logan West, a patient care technician in the intensive care and progressive care units at Union Hospital, has received the ChristianaCare ROSE Award. ROSE stands for Raising Our Standard of Excellence, recognizing outstanding partners in nursing who help deliver compassionate, excellent care to patients and families.

A thankful patient nominated West for the considerate care she provided, even when it came to the small things.

“Logan is so sweet and always made sure I was OK and comfortable,” her nominator wrote. “She went above and beyond to make sure my hair was clean and brushed my teeth.”

West made her patient feel important and understood. “She made me feel that I was her priority every single time,” the nominator wrote. “She delivers excellent patient care every time!”

The Professional Nurse Council at ChristianaCare selects ROSE Award recipients using an anonymous process based on nominations from patients, families and ChristianaCare caregivers. Nursing partners in caregiving — behavioral health specialists, clerks, home health aides, homemakers, medical assistants, monitor technicians, office assistants, patient care technicians, perioperative care technicians, procedural area technologists and surgical technologists — are eligible.
