Arsalan Sheikh Named Cecil County Campus Executive Director
Accomplished physician leader will oversee campus operations, financial performance and growth initiatives
Arsalan Sheikh, D.O., MBA, FACE, has been named Cecil County campus executive director. In this role, he will be the senior executive representing the Cecil County campus. He will operationalize the health system’s strategy and be responsible for clinical and non-clinical campus operations, campus financial performance and campus growth. He also will be responsible for the quality, safety, clinical effectiveness, patient experience and caregiver experience outcomes of the campus.
An accomplished physician leader with more than 15 years of progressive leadership experience, Sheikh most recently served as chief medical officer for the Cecil County campus where he was responsible for quality, safety, care standardization, clinical outcomes and patient experience across the continuum of care and was the liaison among the medical staff, operational leadership and the community.
He previously served as medical director of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism for Luminis Health, which serves over 1 million patients in Maryland, as well as vice president and chief medical officer for Grace Medical Center and physician advisor for Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, Maryland, part of LifeBridge Health. He also worked as chair of the Department of Medicine at Bon Secours Hospital.
Sheikh earned his medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and his MBA in health care management from the University of Delaware.
He will report to Chief Operating Officer Ric Cuming, Ed.D., MSN, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN.
