Mark Wilhelm Appointed Director of Public Safety
Experienced in health care and law enforcement
Mark Wilhelm has been appointed director of Public Safety for ChristianaCare. In this role, he is responsible for directing all functions related to security and the protection of all caregivers, visitors and property in the health system.
Wilhelm most recently served as senior director of Public Safety for Jefferson Health’s Central Region. In this role, he led a team of over 250 police and security personnel and ensured operational readiness and protection for the Central Region hospitals and university communities.
Previously, he served as a network emergency preparedness manager, network assistant public safety director and network public safety director for Jefferson Health and Einstein Healthcare Network.
Prior to that, Wilhelm spent over 25 years in law enforcement, holding positions as a New Jersey state trooper, a detective and in various leadership roles in the New Jersey State Police Department.
He reports to Angel Tejeda, MBA, CHFM, senior vice president, Facilities and Support Services.
