Newsweek Names Center for Rehabilitation at Wilmington Hospital Among America’s Best for 2nd Year in a Row  

For the second consecutive year, ChristianaCare’s Center for Rehabilitation at Wilmington Hospital has been recognized on Newsweek’s 2024 list of America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers, ranking ChristianaCare as the No.1 rehabilitation center in Delaware. 

The award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc. The list recognized 300 leading inpatient rehabilitation facilities in 25 states.

• A national online survey of experts with knowledge of physical rehabilitation centers (physicians, physiotherapists, doctors, clinic managers and other health care professionals). 

• Reviews from Google as a measurement for patient satisfaction. 

• Accreditation data on physical rehabilitation centers provided by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

Since 1993, the Center for Rehabilitation has maintained accreditation by CARF International, which is an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services.  

CARF accreditation demonstrates that the Center for Rehabilitation meets CARF’s high standards for quality and safety. For patients, CARF accreditation is an easily recognizable symbol of a high-quality, safe rehabilitation program.  An organization receiving accreditation must maintain conformance to the CARF standards and undergo a rigorous peer review process every three years. ChristianaCare’s accreditation was most recently renewed following an on-site visit in June 2024.
