Amy Marston Named Newark Campus Executive Director
Experienced health care administrator will oversee campus operations, financial performance and growth initiatives
Amy Marston, MBA, MPH, has been appointed campus executive director for the ChristianaCare Newark campus. In this role, she will lead the Newark campus strategy to drive continuous improvement in quality, safety, clinical effectiveness, and patient and caregiver experience. She will oversee campus operations (both clinical and non-clinical), financial performance and growth initiatives.
Marston brings a wealth of experience from her previous role as the campus executive director for ChristianaCare’s Cecil County campus, where she successfully guided strategy for the 108-bed Union Hospital, managed 1,300 caregivers and enhanced the performance of our Medical Group’s primary care and specialty practices, all with a focus on quality, safety and exceptional outcomes.
Under her leadership, Union Hospital achieved significant year-over-year improvement in quality and safety and earned the 2023 Patient Safety Excellence Award from Healthgrades.
Her previous roles at ChristianaCare include Cecil County campus operations officer, corporate director of behavioral health and project manager.
Before joining ChristianaCare, Marston served in various leadership positions at the Center for Autism in Philadelphia, including admissions and psychiatry operations director, multi-program operations manager, clinical operations coordinator, and mental health therapist. Marston holds an Master of Business Administration from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Public Health from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science from Temple University.
Marston continues to report to Ric Cuming, Ed.D., MSN, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN, chief operating officer.
