Ovations at Elk View Community Listens, Learns, Asks Questions about ChristianaCare’s West Grove Campus
More than 100 residents from the Ovations at Elk View community in West Grove, Pennsylvania, turned out for a presentation about the neighborhood hospital ChristianaCare is planning to open on its West Grove campus in spring 2025. Pauline Corso, regional executive director, southeast Pennsylvania administration, and Bradley Sandella, D.O., spoke about the many features of the neighborhood hospital and campus and answered questions from the participants.
The new 20,000-square-foot hospital will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. It will have a full-service emergency department and a 10-bed inpatient unit for patients who require overnight hospital stays, observation and testing. The hospital will benefit from access to specialist and support services – such as cardiology and neurology – through virtual consults. The campus will also include a health center providing outpatient services, which will open at a later date.
ChristianaCare has been providing health care services to the residents of southeastern Pennsylvania for many years. Today, ChristianaCare offers primary care in three practices that are located in Jennersville, West Grove and Kennett Square. In addition, Concord Health Center in Chadds Ford provides a wide array of services, including primary care, women’s health, sports medicine, behavioral health and more. Combined, ChristianaCare is now the medical home for 25,000 residents in these communities.
