Allison Markowski Honored With ROSE Award

Allison Markowski, a behavioral health specialist on 7N at ChristianaCare’s Wilmington Hospital, has received the ChristianaCare ROSE Award. ROSE stands for Raising Our Standard of Excellence, recognizing outstanding partners in nursing who help deliver compassionate, excellent care to patients and families.

Markowski was nominated by a grateful patient who has benefitted from “Allison’s constant positive influence” during her multiple visits to Wilmington Hospital.

“Allison has gone above and beyond to help connect me with important and essential resources to further my care after discharge. I also looked forward to attending the group sessions she led,” wrote her nominator.

“She has been an invaluable familiar face and a wonderful support. Thank you, Allison, for all of your help and positive influence,” her nominator wrote.

The Professional Nurse Council at ChristianaCare selects ROSE Award recipients using an anonymous process based on nominations from patients, families and ChristianaCare caregivers. Nursing partners in caregiving — behavioral health specialists, clerks, home health aides, homemakers, medical assistants, monitor technicians, office assistants, patient care technicians, perioperative care technicians, procedural area technologists and surgical technologists — are eligible.
