Diane Bohner Named Clinical Operations Director of CareVio
Diane Bohner, M.D., FACP, has been appointed clinical operations director of CareVio. In this role, Dr. Bohner will serve as the clinical and strategic leader for CareVio in its work to provide case management services for ChristianaCare’s multiple value-based contracts. This includes accountability over CareVio’s multidisciplinary teams across the mid-Atlantic region that cover more than 100,000 lives. She will work to optimize the clinical integration and physician engagement with CareVio programs at ChristianaCare and across CareVio partner health systems. Dr. Bohner will also work to drive innovation and implementation of evidence-based standards of care, guidelines and protocols for care management programming to support positive clinical outcomes for patients. She will partner with the corporate director of CareVio to drive outcomes in quality, utilization, cost and contract performance for Population Health.
Dr. Bohner comes to her role with over 25 years of experience at ChristianaCare serving as an accomplished physician and leader, developing and leading multiple complex care practices and programs focused on medical and socially complex populations, including, but not limited, to the CareVio Community Team (formerly Medical Home Without Walls) and the Center for Hope & Healing. Dr. Bohner also served as a medical director for CareVio from 2016-2021. A primary care internist, Dr. Bohner is a passionate, committed and effective leader dedicated to her patients, caregivers, and community.
She is a graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School. She received a master’s degree in cellular and molecular biology from George Mason University and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Tulane University.
She reports to Rose Kakoza, M.D., MPH, senior clinical network director, Population Health.
