Eric Schantzenbach Appointed Vice President, Change Leadership

Eric Schantzenbach, MBA, FACHE, has been appointed vice president of Change Leadership. He will continue the work of Making Tomorrow Happen operating system initiatives through the lens of ChristianaCare’s Love and Excellence framework.
Combining priorities of waste elimination, problem-solving and employee engagement, this role will serve as one of the strategic leads for continuous improvement adoption and implementation across the organization. He will have oversight of change leadership and execution of programmatic components linked to Making Tomorrow Happen for the organization.
Schantzenbach will be responsible for dynamically engaging our caregivers to prioritize a continuous improvement mindset across all levels and job functions in their daily work. He will also be responsible for developing leaders to lead with love, utilizing skills like humble inquiry and psychological safety.
He comes to Christiana Care from Nemours Children’s Health System, where he was the administrator in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services and responsible for the strategic planning and operational performance of Audiology, Clinical Laboratory, Medical Imaging and Therapy service lines. His scope of responsibility included hospital, ambulatory and physician practices across the Delaware Valley. He also served as the director of Continuous Improvement from 2014 to 2017 in which he transitioned the Lean transformation office from a consultant-led model to an internal team of trusted partners.
He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has his Master of Business Administration from Lehigh University.
He reports to Chief People Officer Neil Jasani, M.D., MBA, FACEP.
