Astrude Georges honored with ROSE Award for Raising Our Standard of Excellence

Astrude Georges, a patient care technician in Christiana Hospital’s Surgical Critical Care Complex, received the ChristianaCare ROSE Award in October.
ROSE is the Raising Our Standard of Excellence Award, recognizing outstanding partners in nursing who help deliver exceptional, compassionate care to patients and families.
“Astrude has been an incredibly vital part of the interdisciplinary team in the Surgical ICU,” wrote nominator Kelsey Graham, RN.
“She knows what needs to be done on the unit and steps in to help without being asked. She makes sure patients get the care they need, when they need it, and adds a personal touch to make them more comfortable. She assists with any task, with a smile.”
Georges “exemplifies what a true team member looks like,” the nomination read. “She is a partner you can count on and she goes above and beyond.”
The Professional Nurse Council at ChristianaCare selects ROSE Award recipients using an anonymous process based on nominations from patients, families and ChristianaCare caregivers. Nursing partners in caregiving — clerks, aides, assistants and care technicians – are eligible.
