Jeremy Berberian honored by national Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association
Jeremy Berberian, M.D., FACEP, a member of ChristianaCare’s Emergency Medicine Residency Program and an attending physician in the ChristianaCare Emergency Department, received the Joseph F. Waeckerle, M.D., FACEP, Alumni of the Year Award from the National Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association (EMRA).
He received the award, presented at the association’s 45th anniversary celebration in Denver, Colorado, as a physician “whose contributions make an extraordinary, lasting impact on the success of the association.”
According to the EMRA’s president, Hannah Hughes, M.D., MBA, “This is our way of saying thanks. Thanks for being committed to Emergency Medicine physicians-in-training, for being someone we should all want to emulate.”
Dr. Berberian serves as the founding editor-in-chief of EMRA’s EKG Guide and Ortho Guide. He is a senior editor of the Antibiotic Guide and faculty supervisor of the ECG Challenge in EM Resident magazine — key resources to helping EMRA achieve its goal of supporting new learners in the specialty.
Dr. Berberian also mentors numerous authors and editors. “EMRA wouldn’t be what it is without you and your contributions to emergency medicine and our organization,” Dr. Hughes said.
He completed his residency training at Penn State Health’s Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and graduated from Drexel University College of Medicine.
