Laura Thompson appointed corporate director, Medical and Dental Staff Services

Laura Thompson, MBA, RT(R), has joined Christiana Care as corporate director, Medical and Dental Staff Services.

In this role, Thompson serves as a leader in the department overseeing the credentialing and privileging process for physicians and advanced practice clinicians. She partners with medical staff leadership to enhance the appointment and renewal process, departmental support and ongoing departmental operations.

Thompson joins Christiana Care with more than 25 years of experience in health care administration and leadership roles. She spent 23 years with Main Line Health, most recently as director of medical staff quality. She previously served as chief technologist/administrative director at Lankenau Medical Center and neuroradiology CT supervisor at Penn Medicine. Thompson has participated in process improvements, benchmarking, project management, peer reviews, and quality and safety initiatives.

Thompson earned her MBA in health and medical services administration and bachelor’s degree in allied health management at Widener University. She is a Registered Radiologic Technologist.

She reports to Chief People Officer Neil Jasani, M.D., MBA, FACEP.
