Ina Li appointed clinical director of Primary Care & Community Medicine service line

Ina I. Li, M.D. has been appointed clinical director of the Primary Care & Community Medicine Service Line.
In this role, she will lead development of innovative and effective models of care delivery in the home and community to improve the health and wellbeing of vulnerable patient populations and provide clinical leadership over assigned practices to achieve Service Line goals for Optimal Health, Exceptional Experience, and Organizational Vitality.
Dr. Li joined Christiana Care Health System in 2006 and became director of clinical geriatrics in 2007.
She is medical director of Christiana Care’s Visiting Nurse Association and has made numerous contributions to the care of patients in Delaware, including developing a home visit program for homebound elders.
She holds an appointment as clinical assistant professor at Sidney Kimmel Medical College.
She earned her medical degree at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, completed family medicine residency training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and received a combined geriatric and clinical-research fellowship at Jefferson, where she authored articles on the use of feeding tubes in advanced-stage dementia and driving among the elderly.
Dr. Li is board certified in family medicine, geriatric medicine, and pain and palliative care.
She reports to Christine Donohue-Henry, M.D., MBA, chief medical officer, Community Care.
