Christina Coidakis-Barss appointed vice president of Strategic Learning and Development
Christina Coidakis-Barss, Ph.D., joined Christiana Care as vice president of Strategic Learning and Development in the Institute for Learning, Leadership & Development (iLEAD) in August.
As vice president, Coidakis-Barss oversees Christiana Care’s strategic learning and development needs and assists with designing and implementing solutions to improve organizational performance. She also leads the creation and delivery of effective educational and development programming that prepares our extraordinary people to meet our strategic goals.
She comes to Christiana Care from Houston Methodist Hospital, where as corporate director of Learning and Leadership she was responsible for creating and directing leadership development strategy for more than 23,000 employees across eight hospitals. Prior to that, she served in several roles over an eight-year period at the Cleveland Clinic, most recently as associate director of its Learning Academy, overseeing interprofessional executive development programs, including the Samson Global Leadership Academy.
Coidakis-Barss, who holds certifications in Lean, Six Sigma and applied positive psychology, received master’s degrees in Instructional Design Technology and Strategic Leadership, as well as her Ph.D., in Management and Sustainable Systems Design, from Case Western Reserve University, Weatherhead School of Management.
