It wasn’t easy for Audrey Tyler learning that her father Randy had been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer last November.

While attending appointments with her dad at the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute, she realized there were no reading materials for children. Seeing a need, the Junior Girl Scout started a project called Book Baskets for Cancer Center Kids as a part of earning her Girl Scouts Bronze Award.

Her mother Amy Tyler, a Christiana Care employee, helped coordinate the effort by sharing it on social media, and a total of 278 books were donated.

The staff of the Graham Cancer Center thanked Audrey and her parents for their generous effort.
