Janice Nevin, M.D., speaks at Becker’s Hospital Review annual meeting

Janice Nevin, M.D., MPH, chief medical officer of Christiana Care Health System, was one of a trio of hospital leaders who presented a panel session titled “Key Thoughts on Planning and Budgeting in Times of Uncertainty” on May 10 at the Becker’s Hospital Review Annual Meeting in Chicago.

As part of the discussion about preparatory and reactionary financial strategies, Dr. Nevin stressed the importance of hospitals being involved in government-reform discussions, both to stay up-to-date on changing policies that will affect health system financial strategies and to advocate for their interests.

This year’s Becker’s Hospital Review Annual Meeting, held May 9–11, convened hospital business and strategy leaders to discuss topics such as profitability, physician/hospital integration and the future of accountable-care organizations.
