Jackie Hall, a patient-care technician on 2C at Christiana Hospital, winner of the Christiana Care Jefferson Award for September 2010, is always finding ways to use health and fitness events to help improve our community. An inveterate organizer, Hall’s monthly service club raises money to support cancer research and the Elizabeth Murray Orphanage, among other causes. She walks, runs and bikes for charity and exhorts her colleagues to join her.
Hall developed a fitness/wellness board to keep everyone abreast of healthy ways they can help in the community, such as the Bike to the Bay annual event and the Susan Komen 3-day Walk for Breast Cancer in October.
Colleagues Diana Bochanski and Bernadette Walsh, who nominated Hall, describe her as “a true leader” and “someone who devotes her time and talents selflessly to improve the lives of those in our community.”
