Stephan McDonald, MSN, RN
Vice President of Emergency Services
Stephan McDonald oversees emergency services for ChristianaCare’s emergency departments at Christiana Hospital, Wilmington Hospital and the freestanding Middletown Emergency Department. Combined, the number of visits at these three emergency departments is nearly 200,000, ranking ChristianaCare in the top 25 nationwide in terms of emergency department volume. In his role, McDonald serves as a senior nursing leader and is responsible for the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient centered care.
He is also responsible for prehospital services including LifeNet (aeromedical critical care transport), CareNet (ground critical care transport), and the Transfer Center emergency services including observation care (ED Obs, CEAD, MOU and CSSU).
