Kim Seery, RHIA, CDIP, CCS, CHDA, CPC, CRC, AHIMA, is the director of coding and data quality at ChristianaCare. In this role, she oversees the acute care coding team coding and data quality initiatives across the system. Areas of subject matter expertise include ICD-10-CM/PCS best practice, patient safety indicators, Maryland hospital acquired conditions and potentially preventable complications, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid data quality reporting, and clinical documentation integrity.
