Improvements to Women’s and Children’s Services
Christiana Care Health System submitted a letter of intent to the Delaware Health Resources Board outlining preliminary plans to improve women’s and children’s services.
“In our commitment to meeting the health care needs of our neighbors, we are planning improvements in our women’s and children’s services that will address current facility needs and enhance our ability to provide expert care to our patients and their families,” said Gary Ferguson, executive vice president and chief operating officer.
The letter of intent is the earliest stage of the formal review process for health care organizations in Delaware. The next step, in the coming months, is the formal submission of a certificate of public review.
To advise on these improvements, Christiana Care is seeking mothers, fathers and grandparents of babies born at Christiana Hospital for its Women’s and Children’s Patient Advisory Committee. Advisers share their valuable insights on their experiences as patients and loved ones at Christiana Care. Advisers also provide important feedback on current programs, new service ideas and other aspects of the patient experience at Christiana Care.
