Jasmine Garces-King Appointed Chief Advanced Practice Officer, Medical Group of ChristianaCare
Accomplished leader and nurse practitioner will oversee advanced practice clinicians
Jasmine Garces-King, DNP, MHA, CCRN, TCRN, ACNP-BC, has been appointed chief advanced practice officer of the Medical Group of ChristianaCare. An accomplished leader and nurse practitioner, Garces-King has served as chief advanced practice clinician, Acute Surgical Services, since joining ChristianaCare in 2022.
In her new position, Garces-King will provide system-level administration, direction, coordination and evaluation of the operational, financial and human resource functions and activities for advanced practice clinicians (APCs) across the enterprise. She will oversee the vision, strategy and performance of several key areas, including administration and leadership, workforce planning and utilization, clinical practice and professional development for APCs across the system.
Garces-King also will lead programs that support both ambulatory and inpatient clinical practices. She will help ChristianaCare meet its strategic goals and workforce needs by providing leadership and direction for APCs. Additionally, she will advance broader workforce development initiatives for both APCs and physicians.
Among other positions, she previously served as an advanced practice nurse at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where she was integral in rebuilding the Kidney & Pancreas Transplant program, and as the Trauma Program director at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown, New York, where she led the organization through its inaugural American College of Surgeons Level II Trauma Center Verification. She has held several faculty appointments, is a sought-after speaker and has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications.
Garces-King holds a Doctor of Nurse Practice from Chatham University, a Master of Science in Nursing from Rutgers University and a Master of Health Administration from the University of Phoenix. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Felician University.
