Union Hospital Auxiliary Supports Behavioral Health

The Union Hospital Auxiliary has graciously donated $130,000 to ChristianaCare Union Hospital to help enhance the Behavioral Health Department. The donation will be used to upgrade the rooms and facilities. Once renovations are complete, the hospital will unveil the new Behavioral Health unit.

Throughout the year, the Union Hospital Auxiliary has hosted flower, holiday and book sales to raise funds for the hospital. Members also help run the Good as New Shop, where visitors can come in to chat with the volunteers as they browse for secondhand treasures.

Last year, funds from the Auxiliary helped support the renovation and expansion of the Family Birth Center. Mothers in the Cecil County community now have access to upgraded monitoring systems, larger rooms and a nursery.

“As ChristianaCare Union Hospital continues to identify opportunities to improve health in Cecil County, the Union Hospital Auxiliary is a true partner,” said Dia Williams Adams, MPA, vice president of Philanthropy at ChristianaCare. “We are so grateful for the Union Hospital Auxiliary’s thoughtful and generous support.”
