Danielle Forrest Honored With Rose Award

Danielle Forrest

Danielle Forrest, a homemaker with ChristianaCare HomeHealth, has received a ROSE Award after being nominated by a patient and also a family member of another patient. ROSE stands for Raising Our Standard of Excellence, recognizing outstanding partners in nursing who help deliver compassionate, excellent care to patients and families.

“Danielle is very considerate, friendly, and does anything asked of her,” the patient wrote. “She has made a huge impact and difference in my life.”

In the other nomination, Forrest was credited with alerting the nursing staff when she noticed a possible allergic reaction in one of her patients. Her “kindness and compassion” and “upbeat personality and soothing conversation” help keep the patient calm through her morning routine, wrote the patient’s family member.

The Professional Nurse Council at ChristianaCare selects ROSE Award recipients using an anonymous process based on nominations from patients, families and all members of the ChristianaCare team.

Nursing partners in caregiving — behavioral health specialists, clerks, home health aides, homemakers, medical assistants, monitor technicians, office assistants, patient care technicians, perioperative care technicians, procedural area technologists and surgical technologists — are eligible.
