Melissa MacMurray Named Nurse Manager, Endoscopy Department

Melissa MacMurray, BSN, RN, BS, PCCN, has been appointed nurse manager of the Perioperative Service’s Endoscopy Department. In this role, MacMurray is responsible for clinical operations at both the Newark and Wilmington campuses.

A dedicated professional and well-respected leader, MacMurray has more than 22 years of nursing experience at ChristianaCare. She has successfully held several nurse leader positions with increasing responsibility, most recently as the assistant nurse manager in the pre- and post-anesthesia care unit at Christiana Hospital.

MacMurray received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Wilmington University in 2019 and is finalizing her master’s degree in nursing leadership with an expected graduation date in December 2022. She is board certified in progressive care nursing practice by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.

She reports to Amy Kohl, MSN, RN, CCRN, NEA-BC, director of Clinical Operations.
