Amanda Williams Appointed Nurse Manager of 5B Medical

Amanda Williams, MSN, RN-BC has been named nurse manager of 5B Medical. In this role, she will be responsible for the units’ excellence in the clinical practice of nursing and the delivery of patient care.
As an accomplished nurse leader, Williams brings experience in team planning to implement behavioral plans of care for medical patients with complex care needs, collaborative team building and managing of team projects. Williams joined ChristianaCare in July 2011 as a staff nurse on the 5B Medical Unit. In December 2017, she was promoted to assistant nurse manager of the 5B Medical Unit, where she supported daily operations and key initiatives at the leadership level. As part of her time here at ChristianaCare, Williams currently sits on the Workforce Connection Council, Workplace Civility Committee and is currently a certified Crisis Prevention Institute instructor, introducing and training caregivers on non-violent crisis intervention.
Williams earned a master’s degree in nursing leadership from Wilmington University and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from West Chester University. She reports to Michael Knorr, MSN, RN, PCCN, vice president of Patient Care Services, Acute Care.
