Kathleen Eldridge, M.D., Appointed Vice Chair of the Department of Medicine

Kathleen Eldridge, M.D., has been named vice chair of the Department of Medicine.
Dr. Eldridge joined ChristianaCare Hospitalist Partners as a staff hospitalist in 2011 and went on to serve as the group’s associate medical director. The expansion of ChristianaCare Hospitalist Partners has been a hallmark of her leadership.
Dr. Eldridge has previously served as medical director of ChristianaCare Hospitalist Partners. She will also serve as the clinical director of Acute Care Services.
A graduate of the Sydney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, Dr. Eldridge completed her residency and chief residency in internal medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Eldridge has received several awards for excellence in education and clinical care, including the 2016 Excellence in Hospital Medicine Award from the Delaware chapter of the American College of Physicians.
She reports to Vinay Maheshwari, M.D., MHCDS, the Hugh R. Sharp Jr. Chair of Medicine.
