Cupcakes for Caregivers
Colleagues say "thank you" in the sweetest way
A group of colleagues from ChristianaCare Hospitalist Partners providers were so impressed with the frontline caregivers on COVID-19 units at Christiana Hospital that they naturally said to themselves: “These folks need cupcakes!”
So they pitched in to purchase delicious dainties from Bing’s Bakery and Desserts by Dana. The vendors in turn had a generous feeling as well.
“Both bakeries provided provided a discount,” said Preetha Kurian, M.D., who helped organize the surprise. “Bing’s donated cookie trays as well … and Dana the chef came to personally deliver and thank us.”
Meanwhile, Dr. Kurian said, “Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop in Newark Shopping Center also gave us a great discount so we could buy subs for those units too!”
