George Potts appointed nurse manager of patient care unit 2C
George Potts, MSN, APRN, AGACNP-BC, has been appointed nurse manager of the Ortho/Trauma/Neuro unit on 2C at Christiana Hospital.
Potts has been a nurse on 2C since 2008 and has become an RN III. Most recently, he was the patient care facilitator on 2C and was integral in improving Emergency Department and PACU throughput metrics, standardizing nursing practice and decreasing length of stay.
He completed a Master of Science in Adult Geriatric Acute Care – Nurse Practitioner at Drexel University in 2017; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Delaware in 2008; and a Bachelor of Science in Health Behavioral Management at the University of Delaware in 2006.
He is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Gerontological Nursing and currently works as an adjunct clinical instructor for the University of Delaware.
He reports to Kimberly Talley, MSN, CRNP, RN, CNML-BC, FABC, LSSGB, vice president, Patient Care Services, Surgical.
