Shannon Guzman appointed nurse manager, Neuro Critical Care and Transitional Neuro unit
Shannon Guzman, MSN, MSM, RN, NE-BC, has been appointed nurse manager, Neuro Critical Care Unit and Transitional Neuro units.
In this role, she will be responsible for the units’ excellence in the clinical practice of nursing and the delivery of patient care.
Guzman has been a nurse at ChristianaCare since 2012. She has been the assistant nurse manager of 6C Stroke Treatment and Recovery unit since 2016.
She has served as a Magnet ambassador, Joint Commission liaison, and most recently, as a member of the suicide prevention and ligature risk integrated practice teams.
She also participated in a Lean Six Sigma project to improve the dysphagia screening for the stroke population.
Guzman received her master’s degree in Nursing Leadership and Management, Health Care Administration, and her bachelor’s degree from Wilmington University.
She reports to Danielle Weber, MSN, MSM, RN-BC, NEA-BC, vice president, Patient Care Services.
