Erica Harrell-Tompkins appointed clinical leader, Wound Ostomy Continence nursing team
Erica Harrell-Tompkins, MSN, RN, CWON, CCCN, has been appointed clinical leader of Christiana Care’s Wound Ostomy Continence nursing team in Nursing Quality and Safety.
In this role, Harrell-Tompkins will provide clinical leadership for the Wound Ostomy Continence nursing team and collaborate with key stakeholders in advancing nursing practice for wound care management throughout the organization and community.
Harrell-Tompkins joined Christiana Care in 1992 and has served in medical nursing, as a nurse manager, and with the Wound Ostomy Continence nursing team for 12 years.
The recipient of Nursing Excellence awards, she has applied her extensive experience in wound ostomy continence nursing care to lead policy and procedure development and performance improvement activities.
Harrell-Tompkins earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Delaware and holds a master’s degree in nursing leadership with a concentration in education from Wilmington University. She is tri-specialty board-certified as a wound ostomy continence nurse.
She reports to Susan Mascioli, MS, BSN, RN, NEA-BC, CPHQ, LSSBB, director, Nursing Quality and Safety.
