Lauren Duddy appointed CSSU nurse manager
Lauren Duddy, BSN, RN, CEN, PCCN, has been appointed nurse manager of the Cardiology Short Stay Unit (CSSU) at Christiana Hospital and the Wilmington Cardiology Unit.
Duddy has been the assistant nurse manager for the CSSU since February, 2018 and supported her team in achieving an American Association of Critical-Care Nurses Bronze Beacon Award for Nursing.
She joined the unit in 2013 after six years working in the Christiana Hospital Emergency Department. She initially joined Christiana Care in 2005 as a student nurse extern assigned to the 3C Short-Stay Surgery/Bariatric Surgery Unit and she was a registered nurse on the 6C Stroke Treatment and Recovery Unit in 2006.
She received Christiana Care Nursing Excellence Awards in 2007, 2015 and 2016.
Duddy received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Delaware where she was a W. W. Laird Nursing Scholarship recipient and on the dean’s list for all semesters. She is enrolled in the Master in Health System Leadership program at the University of Delaware.
She reports to Billie Speakman, MBA, RRT, FABC, vice president for Heart & Vascular Services and Women & Children’s Services.
