Donna Mower-Wade appointed director of Advanced Practice Clinician Services
Donna Mower-Wade, DNP, APRN, ACNS-BC, CNRN, has been appointed director of Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) Services.
In this role she will be responsible for overseeing advanced practice registered nurses and physician assistants. She will provide leadership and coordination of all advanced practice nursing and physician assistant standards, including policy, procedures, licensing, scope, integration and utilization.
Mower-Wade joined Christiana Care in 1985 and has over 34 years of health care experience. Most recently, she was manager of advanced practice clinicians for the Neuroscience Service Line for both inpatient and outpatient practices. In this role, she facilitated the growth of the neurology intensive care unit APC service to cover 24/7, including the addition of a new neuro-stepdown and epilepsy monitoring unit; development of the new APC acute neurology service and a pain service; and increased employee engagement and retention rates.
She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Wilmington University and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Delaware.
She reports to Cynthia D. Griffin, MS, RN, CPHQ, CCM, chief nursing officer for community care.
