New Castle County Police raise funds to “Cuff Cancer”
Partnership with area restaurant serves up support for cancer care and research
The New Castle County Police Department completed another successful campaign to support cancer care and research at the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute.
Following up on its 2017 campaign, their generous donation of funds from the “Cuffing Cancer” program, in partnership with California Pizza Kitchen, supports cancer care and research.
Working with California Pizza Kitchen during a two-day fundraiser this past fall, the police sold pink patches and T-shirts to the community and employees. The restaurant donated to the Cancer Center 20 percent of all sales from its October 2018 fundraiser, while Christiana Care Breast Center colleagues provided information at the restaurant about cancer prevention.
