Roshni Guerry honored as Outstanding Physician in Palliative Care
Roshni Guerry, M.D., medical director of Inpatient Supportive and Palliative Medicine at Christiana Care, was honored as the 2018 Outstanding Physician in Palliative Care by the Delaware Quality of Life Coalition.
Each year, the all-volunteer organization honors selected providers, educators, clergy and caregivers for their dedication, leadership and passionate care for patients and families.
Dr. Guerry was lauded for modeling ideal leadership in the development of other providers and teams of professionals in supportive and palliative care.
Her role in Leadership Delaware, Vital Talk and the Christiana Care inpatient program for Supportive and Palliative Care were noted as a few of the examples demonstrating her pursuit of excellence as a physician, teacher and role model for palliative care.
Other Christiana Care providers honored at the event included Amanda Zettle, NP, and Mary Beth Transue, LCSW, recognized for their care for patients and families needing palliative care and support.
“They were duly noted among the heroes and stars from the ample field of nominees for advance practice providers and counselors,” said Anne Mueller, Christiana Care’s program director for Supportive and Palliative Care.
“Both were celebrated as models for excellence in the professional and loving care they provide to patients in the Christiana Care Health System.”
