Christiana Care Health System hosted its 4th Annual Heart & Vascular Interventional Services (HVIS) Conference, Nov. 4 at the John H. Ammon Medical Education Center.

“The conference was a great success, highlighting the diversity of the procedures and conditions that are treated by interventional physicians in our services,” said Billie Speakman, vice president, Heart & Vascular Health. “We are very proud of the technical expertise we provide for our community.”

The day-long event was devoted to developments in treatments for heart disease. Featured speakers included heart surgeon Wasif A. Qureshi, M.D.; cardiologists Brian H. Sarter, M.D., and Sandra Weiss, M.D., FACC; neurointerventional surgeon Thinesh Sivapatham, M.D.; interventional radiologist Christopher Grilli, M.D.; vascular and interventional radiologist Samuel Putnam, M.D.; and Christiana Care nurses Edith Scheidt, BSN, RN; Stacy Noel, MSN, RN; Susan Adams, BSN, RN, CCRN; and Inga Sinyangwe, MSN, RN.
