Christiana Care teams support 2017 Wilmington Heart Walk
Christiana Care Health System employees continued their proud tradition of supporting the American Heart Association’s annual Heart Walk.
On Sept. 10, 54 Christiana Care teams including more than 765 employees, family members and friends took part in the 5K at the Wilmington Riverfront. Christiana Care teams raised over $40,000 to promote heart health and fund the fight against heart disease and stroke.
More than 2,000 area residents participated in this year’s walk, helping raise approximately $305,000 for the cause.
