Roshni T. Guerry honored among DBT40 by Delaware Business Times
Roshni T. Guerry, M.D., medical director of Inpatient Supportive and Palliative Medicine, was named a Delaware Business Times DBT40 honoree. The DBT40 event recognizes Delaware’s achievers and innovators under the age of 40 who are advancing in their workplace and engaging their communities.
“As a member of Leadership Delaware class of 2016, I have witnessed Dr. Guerry’s authenticity, unending passion, positive attitude, and courage and compassion in a relatively short period of time,” said one of her Leadership Delaware colleagues, as reported in the Delaware Business Times. “She embodies the spirit of leadership with her persistent desire for knowledge, innate ability to lead and selfless determination to make a difference.”
Dr. Guerry said being a part of the Leadership Delaware program provided her with a “big break.” “Not being a native Delawarean, I wasn’t familiar with the program, but the experience has been extremely rewarding. I really am getting my “degree in Delaware.”
Given the chance to steer health care in Delaware, she said, “I would prioritize access to high-quality resources for mental illness in the state. I think investment in this area will pay dividends in the opioid abuse problem, violence and general wellness in Delaware.”
