A New Year, A New You!

What are some of the most common New Year resolutions people make? You guessed it-lose weight, eat healthier, and exercise!

What can you do to be more successful if these are your goals for the New Year? Set small realistic goals. For example, instead of setting a goal to lose 15-20 pounds in a month, aim to lose 4-8 pounds a month. If you plan to start exercising, start slow with 15 minutes 3 days a week. You can increase from there rather than trying to start off with an hour 5 days a week. With changing eating habits, same thing goes. Make small changes like eating more veggies-increase the amount gradually (1 cup to 1.5 cups daily). If the resolutions you set are too drastic, they won’t stick. Slow and steady win the race!
