GetWellTown provides interactive education for kids in the hospital

GetWellTown provides a fun, new way for children in the hospital to learn about their health, as well as play games and enjoy creative activities.

GetWellTown is a new, child-friendly version of GetWellNetwork, the interactive tool for education, communication and entertainment in hospital rooms at Christiana Care. GetWellTown provides a fun, interactive experience for pediatric patients age 1 to 13. The program allows kids to learn, draw, play games and even make up their own web pages.

The home page looks like a cheerful, colorful town. Children touch various icons to surf the Internet or access other points of interest.

“If you want entertainment, you just press on the movie theater,” says Kristen Raber, GetWellNetwork IPC manager.

GetWellTown offers more than 300 videos produced by KidsHealth to help young patients learn more about their condition.
