Three Christiana Care perioperative nurses presented at the National Congress of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses in March on the topic of Christiana Care’s use of simulation training in education.

Beth Fitzgerald, MSN, RN,CNOR, perioperative nurse internship manager, discussed the Virtual Education and Simulation Training Center at Christiana Hospital.

Interns Abigail Wolfe, BSN, RN, and Eileen Christie, BSN, RN, both University of Delaware College of Nursing graduates, presented their experience with the Christiana Care internship program and took questions from the audience.

Dr. Jane Rothrock, Ph.D, RN, CNOR, FAAN, considered a pioneer in perioperative nursing education, spoke first and introduced Fitzgerald.
